Pirates on the Move

Pirates on the Move (POTM) was started by way of our District Strategic Plan (DSP) - the goal being to return to pre-pandemic norms, expanding learning opportunities for students, and fostering off-campus education. Within the program, students take off-campus trips to Mackinaw Island, Adventure Point, Chicago, Agro-Liquid, Gettysburg, Washington DC, and Junior Achievement. Of course, one of the primary objectives is for students to experience and engage with history, science, math, and literature outside of the classroom. However, another primary objective is to use these off-campus trips as a means for students to expand social boundaries, learn more about their peers / classmates, make memories together, and develop widespread respect for one another.
